Military Orders and the Construction of Western Society: Culture, Religiosity, Gender and Social Development in Border Areas (12th-15th Centuries)

This project aimed at deepening the study of military orders and their contribution to the construction of Western society, particularly in the border areas, between the 12th and 15th centuries.

It was supported under the Spanish R+D+i Projects - State Program for the Promotion of Scientific and Technical Research of Excellence, with the coordination of Francisco Gomez Ruiz, of the University of Castilla-La Mancha. In addition to CEPESE, this project involved the University of Castilla-La Mancha, the Autonomous University of Madrid, the University of Haifa (Israel) and the National Historical Archive of Madrid.
