Organisational structure

General Assembly

The General Assembly is composed of all the founding members, Honour Patrons and individual and collective associates in the use of their associate rights, being the deliberations taken by absolute majority of votes of the associates present, except in the cases the law or statutes state otherwise.

Fiscal Council

The Fiscal Council has the task of reviewing CEPESE’s accounts and presenting the respective report to the General Assembly. It is composed of three members, a president, a rapporteur and a council member.

Council member – Prof. Dr. António Queirós

Executive Board

As CEPESE’s executive body, the Executive Board has the duty of carrying out all the powers needed to perform the activities that fit in the purposes of CEPESE. It is composed of PhD professors who are part of the centre.

Scientific Council

CEPESE’s Scientific Council has the duty of giving its opinion on all the matters of scientific nature that are submitted to it by the Executive Board, and it can also prepare reports and recommendations by its own initiative. It is composed of all the doctorates of the Centre. Within the scope of this Council there is also a Coordination Commission, consisting of the coordinator of the Research Unit and the coordinators of the Research Groups of CEPESE.
