CEPESE’s strengths

It has its own premises that were recently renewed and expanded, where there is all the necessary computer equipment, regularly renewed, including its own servers.
It has its own identity, which revolves around History, with special attention paid to Population, Economy, Society and International Relations.
It achieved an important social and cultural integration in Portugal, through the cooperation with several public and private institutions (municipalities, foundations, universities and companies).
The number of eligible doctorates likely to participate in research projects, allowing with the remaining researchers, graduated and holders of a Master’s degree, the formation of teams with reasonable dimension and unity.
Its activities have achieved an important degree of internationalization, maintaining privileged relationships with Brazil, Spain and Italy, currently expanding its scientific connections to other countries.
The existence of this recently renewed website that makes available to the general public the databases resulting from the research projects and publication in digital format.
The resort to new information technologies, namely to broadband internet, to which all CEPESE’s computers are connected and also work in Intranet (internal network).
The permanent staff, with suitable training, to support CEPESE’s activities.
