ITRACOTUR - Knowledge Transfer Initiative for Tourism Online Promotion
This Project aims to gather information and explore business strategies for the regional tourism sector, focusing in particular on the opportunities created by the social web and from a user perspective, having the North Region of Portugal as its intervention space.
Practical results are expected, namely in terms of knowledge transfer and the creation of a guide addressing regional tourism good practices; development of business intelligence strategies on how to use 2.0 and 3.0 communication in the choice of tourist destinations; and taking advantage of the cultural, historical, patrimonial and natural characteristics of the North region for the promotion of tourism.
