OESE - Observatory of Social and Economic Studies

The Observatory of Social and Economic Studies (OESE) resulted from a Research Project developed between CEPESE, ISLA-IPGT, and INOVAGAIA.

This project aimed to create a digital observatory to understand the economic, business, and social dynamics of different municipalities through the characterization of local business communities, the contexts affecting organizations, and the analysis of differentiating factors that enhance competitiveness. The goal was to provide a tool to support the definition and implementation of local policies, particularly by municipalities, and the adaptation of local/regional training offerings. The project focused on the Municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, creating a database of the municipality's business activity between 2006 and 2017.
